The series is based on the Japanese web novel by Tsutomu Satō and tells the story of Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba, two siblings who enroll in magic high school. Munemasa Nakamoto will act as scriptwriter, while Kana Ishida is attached as character designer. Studio 8bit will return to produce, with Risako Yoshida serving as director for the upcoming arc. Alongside the news, the studio behind the anime also announced that Kikuko Inoue ( Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) and Aya Endo would be joining the cast. The Irregular at Magic High School S1+S2+OVAs+Movie in English JPN. The new arc will take place three years prior to when Tatsuya and Miyuki were enrolled in First High and will give the audience more backstory on how the two siblings became so close.
